Can guinea pigs get separation anxiety?
I'm almost certain that both Phoebe and Halley have it.
In the cage, they are fine, rather it being right next to each other or at opposite ends of the cage.
But if I or my husband get one of them out and each hold one. The moment one is out of the cage, they both start squeaking loudly. Even when both are out, it's the same thing. Until they are back together it doesn't stop.
Or is this just maybe a nervous thing? I've had them since Sunday. As far as adjustment wise, they seem to be doing good, not as skittish as before.
