I recently adopted my piggie from my girlfriend, and she's a sweet little thing. However, I think she may have scared my piggie with how she handled her sometimes.

She used to lift her up very roughly and sometimes hold up the pig parallel with her body. You could tell she didn't enjoy that. She also used to grab the piggie out of a hiding spot as opposed to take the surroundings around it and picking her up safely.

I'm slowly starting to get her out of these habits but she's still terrified of me picking her up, even if I do it the proper way (not like she can tell the difference).

What are things I can do to make her more comfortable around me? Particularly with picking her up.
