Alright, here's the situation: One of my guinea pigs died because of an ovarian cyst that was caught too late. Her sister, Aggie, is now living alone. All I want to do is get Aggie a new friend (my local rescue has a few very eligible bachelorettes) but here's where the problem comes in. I'm still living with my parents as I am a minor. My mother, who I love dearly, despises rodents with a burning passion. I can't even hold Aggie around her! She complains that I spend too much money on fleece for a 'rat' and makes jokes about moving to Peru and eating my precious baby. I've tried explaining their social nature, how they live in herds and are prey animals that feel better with a friend. How do I convince her to let me adopt another piggy?
