Do I need to pre wash vet bed?

My vet bed order arrived yesterday. I cut it down to size today and I have my wood pellets ready to go underneath. Just wondering if I need to wash the vet bed prior to first use?

I would, just to be sure there aren't anything bad on them. They should be pretty clean, but it's better to be safe than sorry.

Yes I decided to do a quick wash with no detergent just to make sure it was clean. It's in their cage now. Thanks
