@equinox96.....That's a really cool play area .I love the ramp, and aren't those little kiddie stools a Godsend? The Ikea ones are like $3.50 a piece and my pigs just love resting under them.
@spy9doc......Yes, you are correct, I use those runner mats from the flea market covered over with the large incontinence pads you suggested to me , and then the $2.50 rolls of Walmart fleece on top. I also use the Ikea bath mats $7.50 under the table, so they will be nice and comfy. I hope they get some more fleece in Walmart with Christmas designs on

Boys and girls take chance a piece on the back porch on nice days. Today was another beautiful day, so the boys got to hang out there until just a little bit ago when the air started to get a lil' chilly. It's a pretty large area, but you're only seeing a portion of it in the pics.

Oh my... What an awesome play area!! We’re jealous
You are right, those stools are great and so easy to put away since they’re stackable. I have to tell you, I’m totally stealing some of your ideas, if that’s ok!?!

I do have a question, those special holiday throws that Walmart sells, are they good fleece or they’re those cheap ones I sometimes see at the dollar stores? How do they stand up to trampling and laundering?

Steal away!!....If it helps you and your pigs you are more than welcome to use whatever you please . The fleece from Walmart is not top of the line, but the rolls are quite big and do the job just fine, they launder well too, and can handle trampling. I can't speak for the ones in the dollar store as I've never seen them. If you have a good absorption layer like incontinence pads, you don't have to spend a lot on fleece. I haven't seen any $2.50 Christmassy fleece at Walmart yet, but I do check each time I go there. If I do see them I will let you know, if you happen to see any before me, please do likewise . We can also check out Joann's when they have a sale. and just figure out how much we might need for the job.

I'm so envious of the space you can give your cavies! As I've said previously, we live in a small 1920's home and there is barely space for the two of us. The house can be a bit drafty in the cooler months and I'm reluctant to leave them out on the floor for too long. I have to give some serious thought as to how I might be able to do some rearranging for them.

I'm totally envious of the space you have, too! We live in a house, but more of an upstairs apartment. Even so, we give the "kids" about half of our "living room", so their area ends up being about 40 square feet.
