I'm wondering if alternative pellets exist that are Orchard hay or bluegrass based. I've switched from Timothy Hay to Orchard hay, but realized that my allergies may still be acting up due to the Timothy based pellets. I've never had allergy issues, so I am freaking out. I only recently adopted my piggies. When I sniffed the Timothy Hay I immediately sneezed, had a horrible itchy sensation in my nose.
A few years ago I worked at PetSmart and had no issues cleaning the cages and being around the animals. I read that post-pregnancy people can develop allergies. Ugh! I wanted guinea pigs to be my daughter's first pets, and now I have been stuffy, sneezing, itchy, all day and night. I want Timothy stuff out of my house. Help.
