    New piggie

Ok guys. So by the looks of it I'll be taking a female guinea pig from a family. I was told she is just under a year old and hasn't seen a vet so I'm going to schedule one ASAP. I already have 2 females who have been together since day one. But they are 4 months. So here are my questions:

1: when it comes to quarantine, for how long should I do this?

    2: I have a 2x4 c&c cage with a 2x1 loft. Will making it a 2x5 work? Of course after quarantine

3: my girls have the oxbow pellets for young guinea pigs. When I decided to put them together, what should I do regarding pellets? I'll be giving the new one adult pellets but I don't want her to get into the young pellets because of the alfalfa

4: introductions. Common grounds? Y'all suggest in the play pen?

    Re: New piggie

1: Quarantine for at least three weeks.

2: A 2x5 is the recommended size for three piggies, so expanding would be a good idea.

3: You can feed them all the adult pellets and the same hay, but once a day give the younger piggies a high calcium veggie, like kale or cilantro.

4: Definitely introduce them in a new territory, a play pen is a great option as long as its big enough.

    Best of luck!!!
