We have 2 bonded females, 3 bonded females, and 2 bonded males. Our females do not get along to intermingle. Would it be okay to make one large cage and basically section off each area for each group, or would that be frowned upon? We'd have cubes blocking hem from getting into each groups space but be able to interact with each other through the gates.

We were a primary female group but we rescued a male from being a "free" item on Facebook, and he seemed really stressed. We happened upon someone who had adopted a pregnant piggy and they gave us one of the boys in their litter, and he's much MUCH happier to have someone. I wouldn't want to live in a cage all alone like he was.

Can you please share your set ups? Going through pictures on here but any suggestions/advice would be much appreciated!

It may work just fine, or you may have some trouble with the males when the females are in heat. One thing you'll absolutely need to do is put lids on the females' cages. A determined male can push up the lid on his own cage to get out, but he can't lift the lid on the females' cage to get in.

You also may wind up with a lot of bar chewing between the cages. That's relatively easily solved by putting plexiglass along those walls. You may have to do it on both sides if one side doesn't do the trick.

It'll need to be a very large cage. Your males and three females need about 11-12 square feet in each cage, the two females about 10. Those are minimums, and larger is better.
