Hi guys,
I adopted a guinea pig from a seller on Craigslist yesterday and today he seems depressed (and rightfully so, poor thing). He will take veggies and I have seen him eat and drink, but then he returns to just laying around.
What I know about him:
He's currently in quarantine, but after that I'm hoping to introduce him to my 7 and a half year old boar in a much larger cage to ease his loneliness.
Is there anyone that has had this problem before? Does anyone have any ideas of something that may help him get through his few weeks of solitude?
Watching him breaks my heart

What I know about him:
- He's been passed around AT LEAST twice from different people on Craigslist
- He's never been with another guinea pig
- He must have been at least slightly neglected as his water bottle was green and his white bottom is yellow stained
- He's roughly a year to two years old
