General Using Humidifier... How Do I Clean It?

Kind of a not so great question but... I saw the thread on using a humidifier and it said to keep the humidifier clean.

What do I clean it with, and will every week suffice to keep it clean?

It probably has directions for cleaning. Google the make and model number and see if there's a downloadable manual for it.
