A cup measure is 8 oz so 1/8 of a cup is one ounce and a quarter of a cup is two ounces so I'd say about a stars shot glass full. Shot glasses are generally an ounce and a half.

Don't you have measuring cups at your house? The ones for dry ingredients come in 1/4, 1/3, 1/2, 3/4 and 1 cup sizes? And liquid ones come marked in 1/16 or 1/8 cup measurements up to one or two cups.

The dollar store normally sell sets of the dry measuring cups and spoons as they are also very handy to have on hand because they are what you use when following recipes and not what we eat with. But two of our eating soup spoons is about 1/8 of a cup.
