How old is the baby? Maybe she's trying to ween her.

Yes how old is the baby? Also how large is their cage? If the cage is too small the sows can attack their own babies, or chew chunks off of their ears. What sex is the baby?

Hi Thanks for replying...

We got mum and baby about 2 weeks ago from a lady she said baby had already been weaned. She jan/Feb baby.. Whenever baby squeal's or squeaks by mum she turns and bites her.
Cage is a large rabbit indoor cage.. over 3 foot in length.

Thank
Emma

That cage isn't large enough for one pig, much less two. At the rate things are going, the sow is very apt to bully the young pig, and to tear her ears. You need a bigger cage, ASAP.

The cage is 4ft long. They originally came in a 3ft cage so we got a bigger one. It's not so much in the cage it's when they are out an do about. When baby squeaks she'll go for her.

Thanks
Emma

That cage is still too small for them female guinea pigs go into heat typically every 16 days also do you even know the gender of the baby as well.
