Hay How long can my guinea pigs go without hay?

My moms car broke down, making it impossible for us to go anywhere for the last day or so. I was intending to get more hay on tuesday, but I couldn't. Since then, I have less than a cup left (maybe half) of hay. Her car got back tonight, but I we wont be able to go anywhere until probably 2ish tomorrow. Can they go that long (12 hours) without hay? I have two guinea pigs. Will they be okay? I know hay is really important to their diet. And is there an alternative to hay that I can give them just until tomorrow evening? Thanks!

They should be alright for twelve hours without hay, but they do need to have food moving through their systems constantly, so I'd keep their pellet bowls full until you're able to get them hay.

If they tend to make a mess, you can also sweep up the area around the cage. It's amazing how much hay I always find when I clean my room, haha.

I second keeping the pellets dish full until they can have unlimited hay again.
