C&C Alternatives Combining cages?

Hello!
So I have two boars, I've been told that they need a larger cage. I have two cages, one is 47" the other is 37". I was wondering if I put them side by slide, modified so they don't have to use a ramp, it just goes straight into the other cage could that work? It would then be 84" would that work? Or should I see if its possible I could get a 2x6 or 2x7 c&c cage? It's just hard because, my parents say that their 47" x 24" cage is big enough, though I know it should be even bigger, and I can't convince them to let me, even if I'll pay for it. Does anybody have any ideas? Thanks!
