My brothers Gerbil, Buddy, will constantly burrow at the corners of his cage, I heard somewhere this is normal behavior? He also tries to nudge and tip his bowl over, I am very worried about him. At night I can hear his Gerbil nudging and biting at his bowl, does anyone know why he does this? Thank you

It's true this isn't the best place for gerbil advice, but I do have some experience with them, and to me it sounds like he might be bored or not have enough bedding. Gerbils like at least eight inches of bedding to burrow in, and lots of cardboard toys- tubes from toilet paper or paper towel rolls work well, especially if you hide treats in them. If you have all these things and he still does this, it's probably just his personality.
