Hello, I have recently just built my guinea pigs a C&C cage, and I am wondering if its large enough or if i should make it a couple grids wider. Also, is a dust pan and a mini handheld broom good for cleaning it out? I will post a picture of the cage I built.
its 1 grid wide, and 5 long. it's what they have for now, i am planning on building something to set them on so i can make it wider, but its a lot better for them than their temporary cage they had, they seem a lot happier in it.
It needs to be at least 1 grid wider for either sows or boars, and either a grid wider, or a 2x5 for boars. Wider is better than long and narrow for boars.
yeah, i have two boars. i have recently moved and thought i would have the room for 2-3 grids wide, but turns out the counters here are tiny and i had to get rid of the huge shelf i put them on, and i built this cage when i moved here, and i started with 1 grid wide, then measured it to the counters, turns out until i can build the table, they have to have 1 grid wide. they do seem pretty happy at the moment though, and its super easy to clean, no need to scrub or anything, and they seem pretty happy so i'm not too rushed to get the table done so i can build it wider. thanks for the input everyone i will build the table and expand their cage asap.
