    Will fleece work in this?

I have a all living things cage (pictured below) for my two six month old boars. I plan eventually, as soon as space permits to give them a 2x6 cc, but my question is will fleece work for this cage? Its deathly annoying to clean the bedding out of the spots because of the bottom being velcro'd down.

I don't know about fleece, just wanted to say that Petsmart has ripped off the Midwest guinea pig cage. At least it's better than what they usually sell for a guinea pig cage.

Aw damn I thought that was the Midwest cages. It was the best I could find in a scuffle for a temporary home for them.

It appears to be the same size as the Midwest, so it's all good. You can probably use the same fleece as you would for a Midwest.

Perfect. Would it be a dumb idea to buy coroplast (I really don't like the rubber/plastic thing) and use it as a base, with the metal as the walls? Would it be too much hassle?

I don't think it will work. Fleece doesn't work well in small cages unless you want to change everything every day or so.

It's also too small for two six-month-old boars.

I thought people have used fleece in Midwest's? And yeah, I'm working on getting them an adequate cage

You can use fleece. I've used fleece in a pet store cage smaller than this before.

How would I apply the fleece? Taking the surrounding metal can be difficult.

In that kind of cage it would be easiest to use flat fleece liners that only cover the bottom of the cage.

If you're willing to make a coroplast base, could you also just buy a box of grids and make a C&C cage?

I will once I have the space. Would a 2x6 bent in half work for two boars? I'm.kinda limited on space for now.

an L shape should be fine, but if you have the space to make it 3 wide and shorter, that would be even better

I don't think I have the space for a 3wide, I can try though once I get off work

Re: Will fleece work in this?

My two boars are currently in a Midwest cage but will be upgraded to a 2x5 + party patio within the next few weeks. I'm using bedding right now but I absolutely hate it. I'm going to switch to fleece until I get my new cage sorted out. I don't see a reason why you can't use fleece in the Midwest. Like others said, a flat liner would be easiest. I also wouldn't use coroplast as the base in a Midwest because the cage is already on the small side and you're going to lose out on some space.

While it's not a c&c.. This is what I've been up to. Its a little smaller than a 2x3, but that's only because the sign shop.messed up on cut. What do you think? I might fleece it.

Cage is put up, but the white one is not being used yet. I still need to get support under it and fix the doorway to ensure safety. But thoughts for now?
Original idea was the apply the coroplast INSIDE the MW cage, buuuuuut I thought this would be funner and itd make it slightly bigger.
The pigs are back in their MW, with fleece

It looks good, I'm sure they'll enjoy having some more space to roam.

Okay so I officially hate the back corner because..I can't reach it.
I might cut the door into the back side(closest to the door you see and just..use the cage door as their ramp .
I'll use a old picture frame's plastic covering and ziptie it over the holes on the outside so they can't chew it, but have a window?

    Progress
