    Dander

    Hello,

I've noticed that my boar Gilbert has a lot of dander but doesn't seem to be itching a lot or irritated when handled. My other boar Gordy has some as well but not nearly as much and doesn't itch or irritated when handled. I've read around online and read it could be signs of mites and is not normal but wasn't exactly sure. Should I take them to the vet, what are your thoughts?

    Additional info:
    • They have fleece beeding I keep clean
    • Gilbert has only had one bath
    • No patches of lost fur
    • Given the right amount of nutrients

    Thanks!

    Re: Dander

If he's not insistently itching, it's not mites.
