My guinea pig (Daisy) is very pregnant! She is about 6 months old, healthy and eating well. 1 wk ago today, I notice her pelvic bones were just about 2 finger spaces apart. I have been seeing the babies kick for 3 wks, I think I heard their little teeth grinding inside her belly once or twice this past week, but it could of been Daisy. She spends most of her time laying down (active when she wants to be).
Everything I've read online has me thinking she should of deliver by now. I know they will come when they are ready but does anyone with great experience have any guesses for me.

Welcome to the forum. I honestly know nothing about Guinea pig pregnancy cos I have two boars so I'm pretty useless there. Your Guinea pig is adorable btw! I love her fur. I couldn't help but notice she's in a pet store cage. A pet store cage isn't recommended as it's too small. You should look into C&C cages, they make a great and affordable alternate. What do you plan to do with the babies after they're born?

I actually have a C&C cage. It's 2ft×5ft! I just put her in the smaller cage until she delivers. I have 3 children, 1 dog, 1 cat and 1 other guinea pig. I wanted her to have somewhere quiet to deliver so I have her in my bedroom upstairs.
Thank you. I happen to think she adorable also.
I am keeping all the babies.
Totally informed on needing to sex them and separate the males at 3wks. Have an emergency exotic vet lined up for her incase things go wrong.

Seems your well prepared and know what your doing. 2 by 5 is a great size and it's great to hear you're keeping the babies.

I know I can and will provide them with a loving forever home, where they will be spoiled! I'm not going to chance someone deciding they don't want them after however long.

My girl Hash Brown just gave birth a little over two weeks ago. You will obsess over when the babies will be born. Trust me when I say that she will have them when she has them. Haha I know that's it's easier for me to say then do but I tried EVERYTHING to determine when the babies would be here. When I finally gave up on trying to figure it out. She had them! I hope your piggy has a safe and successful pregnancy.

She is just cleaning off her last baby now! She still has to deliver the placentas. Babies seem lively and healthy

Congrats! They are so cute! My guinea pig Coco had 3 babies at about 4-6 months old. The original owners had kept four guinea pigs(2 male 2 female) all in one small cage. I now have only one(gave away one female and male a while ago). I wish my sister had wanted the other female, so they could be together. Glad the delivery went safe!

Thank you all. Everyone seems to be doing good. Mom seems to be really tired.. I'm guessing that's normal? I know I was tired after pushing just 1 baby out. Gonna go do some research..

Yes, that's normal. Just like when humans give birth, it's tiring, the same with guinea pigs. Just let her rest for a while. When my babies were born, Coco rested for a while. The babies went to nurse, while she lied down. Do you have a smaller water bottle to use? I use a 4 ounce for babies. Also Alfalfa is recommended for Pregnant pigs, mothers, and babies. Just wondering if you had any. Hope the babies stay plenty healthy(bet they will with you around...;))!

I do have alfalfa hay and she has been getting it. I don't have a 4oz water bottle but I can go purchase one tomorrow. I really appreciate the advice and support here. Thank you!
