Cage Lofts and lids

Hi all,

I was wondering if it would be cheaper to make a lid for a 2x4 with closet shelving or grids and where I could find closet shelving that would fit all of the cage not just 1/2 of it. Also with a 2x4 cage should I make a 1x2 loft or a 2x2 loft because it is going to be a kitchen area and not a sleeping or play area and should I use fleece for the kitchen or carefresh bedding? Thanks!

The deepest closet shelving I've ever been able to find is sixteen inches. You might look for commercial shelving. But one huge piece will be much harder to handle than two smaller pieces.

I'm sure you can google up the cost of shelving in your area, or look at the Home Depot or Lowes websites.
