It almost has to be his molars or a problem with her jaw, such as elongated roots or an abscess. Did anyone take side x-ray views of her head?

Only back in April did they take an X-Ray because the dental vet said her issue was pretty clear as tongue entrapment. Which it was, only she must have something else too. I am going to try to get a visit with the emergency vet Doctor. She was nice and maybe she can figure out the problem. Sounds like I'll have to have her do X-rays.

do pigs always need to be anesthetized for X-rays?

Depends on the pig and the dentist's x-ray equipment. If the vet is well-equipped with a moveable x-ray head, and the pig is cooperative, they don't always need to anesthetize. But even if they do, they usually just "whiff" them under with gas, and they wake up again as soon as the gas is removed.

Talk to the emergency vet before you take her in. They're not usually exotic specialists, and you might save yourself some time and money if she says she's not really the one to address this.
