I've posted this back in 2013. I've decided to copy it here. I think it would be useful when someone wants to calculate how much pellets to order.
Based on the measurements and weight below,
1 cup of KMS pellets is 5.2oz.
10lbs (4.5kg) of pellets would be about 30.7 cups.
10lbs (4.5kg) of pellets would feed two pigs approximately 123 days.
1 cup of Oxbow pellets is 5.6oz.
10lbs (4.5kg) of pellets would be about 28.6 cups.
10lbs (4.5kg) of pellets would feed two pigs approximately 114 days.
I weighed the measuring cup and hit tare. This is a 1/4 cup.
KMS pellets weigh 1.3 ounces.
Also weighed in grams.
Oxbow pellets weigh 1.4 ounces.
40 grams
