Should I get rid of my loft?

I have a 2x4 cage with a 1x4 loft and three female piggies. I believe I have room to expand the main level of the cage to a 2x5 but I'm debating on whether I should get rid of the loft. My pigs are around 1.5 years old and they don't use the loft as often as they used to. Sometimes one of them will take a nap up there so I'm torn if I should keep it. I would love to give them extra space to run in the main level of the cage if the ramp wasn't there. The only other thing they use the loft for is running up there to wheek at me for lettuce (it has a better view of the kitchen from up there )In everyone's experience, do you prefer having a loft or not?

I'd get rid of it and expand the cage. Give them more space to do zoomies and popcorn

Yeah I tend to agree but my boyfriend is making me re-think it haha. I trained my pigs to go up to the loft every night when I say "go upstairs" so that I can vacuum the main level of the cage. It's so dang cute but probably not a reason to keep the loft. Haha

That sounds so cute! Can you post a video of it?

Here's a video I just made. Not the best quality since it's on my iPhone!

Why not just buy more grids and coroplast so you can have both? The video is really cute!
