    Vitamin C drops

So I took my guinea pig to the vet and the vet said that I should give him some more vitamin C.

So I got the oxbow tablets and Oasis vitamin C drops.

I gave Domino half an oxbow tablet but will increase it to the whole tablet today or tomorrow.

But how many drops of vitamin C should I put on his veggies?

And how much Vitamin C should guinea pigs get a day?

I give him Romaine lettuce almost every day. I also give him about every other day carrots or tomatoes or bell pepper. And 1/8 cup pellets every day. (1/4 oxbow 3/4 KMS trying to switch to KMS)

    Thank you!

(Also if maybe you could figure out a pre made veggie chart because I have tried but cant calculate all of the vitamins )

    Re: Vitamin C drops

A pig that's not ill should get around 30 mg. of vitamin C per day.

The Oxbow vitamin C tablets are high in calcium. They have 25 mg. of vitamin C per tablet, so if you're feed some vitamin C veggies, that's all you need to give. Do NOT give a full tablet, veggies and vitamin C drops -- that's too much.

If you want to give the drops instead of the tablets, you need to figure out how strong the vitamin C you have is, and calculate the number of drops needed to give him 30 mg.

He needs a wider variety of vegetables, and definitely more bell pepper. That's about the best source of vitamin C you can give. My two pigs get at least 1/4 of a pretty good sized bell pepper every day.

Look in the diet and nutrition section. There are hundreds of sample menus in there.

    Thank you @bpatters!

But what other vegetables would you recommend? That you can easily find in stores?
