American smooth coat...all the way. Never really been fan of long hair. This includes cats and dogs. Smooth and short!
I have had mostly shorthairs, but I have a special place in my heart for the Abbys.
American short haired.
American Smooth Hair, Teddy, and Abbys!! I own the first two,but fell in love with an abby baby!!
Abyssinian, American, and coronet.
You're making us decide between just three?
-Smooth-coated(or American, the breed can be called both. Bacon is a short hair and his personality is so laid-back and friendly.)
-Crested(I've never owned one myself, but I adore them!)
-Abyssinian(They have a more skittish nature, but the cowlicks and rosettes are hard to resist! Eggs is so beautiful, though I must be careful to pet him the way his fur goes, otherwise he runs away or growls.)
-Lunkarya
-Teddy/Rex
-Skinny pigs<3
-Crested
-Skinny pig
-Lunkaryka/alpaca
American short hair..... teddy.......Abyssinian
I'm shocked that there are so many fans of short haired piggies. I guess it's because 90% of the guinea pigs in our area are Americans, so they seem pretty normal. I absolutely love the more unusual breeds. My favorites right now are:
-Skinny pig
-Peruvian
-Texel
Well, I'm sure I wouldn't be as fond of the long haired piggies if I actually had one, but they are so pretty. I have had a skinny and absolutely loved her. To be honest, for me it comes down to the individual piggy. Sometimes I'll just see one and fall in love with it.
Abby
Texel
Peruvian
I have a love for the long haired piggies
I love Abby's. They seem to have such spunky attitudes.
I also have always wanted a Merino/Alpaca but I have never seen one in the U.S.
My third favorite would have to be Teddy's.
Himalayan
Teddy
Shorthair or abby
I really don't like longhairs as the extra grooming is a pain for both me & the pig. Unfortunately we have zero Himalayans in my country & I'm a bit obsessed with them.
But apparently we've created a new breed in Sweden called Lunkarya(?). Looks like Einstein's tupé after it accidentally went in the dryer.

Abyssinian is my number 1 all the way. Not only do I think they're the cutest but I also love their personalities.
After that it would have to be Skinny Pigs/Baldwins. I've always loved hairless animals for some reason!
Third would be Teddy just because they are so cute!
1st) Abyssinian's are my all time favourite! The pig I had growing up was an aby and now I have 1 aby and an abbyreuvian.
2nd) I love the look of texels. I have never owned one or even seen one in person but I love their appearance and in the future I'm going to keep my eyes open for one needing a home!
3rd) I also love skinny pigs, they are so ugly that they're cute! One day I am determined to own at least 1.
Cresteds - The first guinea pig I ever owned for myself was a crested by the name of Connor. I only had him for about two months before he died, but a sweeter, more snuggly little guy never lived. He had been through a whole year of neglect, so it was amazing that he would even tolerate humans, but he loved them! I have a little crested girl named Fawn now.
Shelties - I love their sweet, innocent, round faces. Their hair is brushable without growing in yucky places, and I love stroking it back. I have a Sheltie named Bluebell.
Abbysinians - Their lopsided-just-out-of-bed look is sometimes too much for me to look at without squealing. They also have attitude, which I absolutely love. I have a spunky abby named Miss Rhino at present.
Abbys. My abby girl Piper is much friendlier than my American short hair or my crested. She loves being in my lap and snuggling. I love that crazy fur!
