My Guinea Pigs sometimes nip at each other..?

I have two females and sometimes I've noticed one will go up to the other and start pulling at their fur and then one of them will start nibbling on the other ones ear. Does anyone know what this means? Is it a form of fighting or is it something affectionate?

ThePigAlchemist Oh my goodness, I am so happy! Flicker was doing that to Birdie (the new pig just introduced today)! Flicker has done it to another one of my pigs before and it seems affectionate to me as well. You made me feel much better ThePigAlchemist!

And btw, I also think it is affection not fighting.
