Nile won't stop scratching!
I got my baby Nile a month ago and took him to the vet. The vet said he's very healthy but lately he's been scratching. Any natural remedies for my furry love?

You can't use natural remedies on pigs unfortunately. You should treat him for mites. They're basically invisible, and even a skin scraping done by a vet usually doesn't catch them (plus it's painful for the pig), and if you treat for them and your pig happens to not have them, it won't hurt him at all.
You need to treat him using ivermectin. http://www.guinealynx.info/ivermectin.html, and if he's under 350g, you'll need it prescribed by a vet. If he's over that, you can get it yourself from Amazon or a feed store. The .5% pour on kind (for cattle, I think) is the easiest to administer from what I've heard.

I think the pour-on kind for cattle is actually 5%, not .5%, so it needs to be diluted. And if I'm not mistaken, ivermectin isn't usually given at all for pigs under 350 grams. I think they get treated with Revolution for kittens.

Whoops, my bad! I'll remember to keep the decimal point out of that in future.
