Hey folks. Been a little bit since I've posted. Been busy with this crazy kitten. Unfortunately, I've been forced to keep the lid on my pigs cage. The lid was designed without having long term use in mind. I've had this lid made long before we got our kitten. Always had it in case the need arose, I wasn't rushing to make a lid.
Will be going on a 3x4
I need something that will support approx 10lbs. There's a possibility that he won't get over his interest in the pigs as an adult and 10lbs is the approx weight of an adult cat.
I also need something that will fold up easily. Currently, all of my available grids(with the exception of 2) are used to block off access to areas that pose a risk to the kitten.

Any questions, just ask away and I'll answer as best as possible. Don't mind the bareness of the cage. I was doing a bedding change, just thought to take some pictures and ask for some input.

Closet shelving makes the best lid I know of.

Yeah, as you see, that's part of my lid. Unfortunately, they're not the 1 grid width ones I've seen on here. They're just under a grid's width. So I've had to overlap grids between them. Makes an awkward center and I can't connect the end to the closet shelves because they won't be able to match the joints to fold.

There are closet shelves that are 16" and 20" deep. You can configure them to fit the cage. Make them three-fold. They'll have to be long enough to not fall into the cage.
