What breed? Abyssinian... or Peruvian?

As some of you may know, my pig Scarlet has recently given birth to three pups. Due to their "ruffled" appearance, I assumed they were Aby's, but I've come across pictures of Peruvian pups on the Internet. I'm not sure anymore! I'd like to know so I can tell the new owner of two of the pups. Here's the most recent picture of the unnamed one I kept.

It's hard to tell until they're older because their fur might or might not grow. Is mom an abby or Peruvian?

The mom is actually an American. And @HugglesBubble I was going to name her Oreo, but the lady that took the other two named the black one Oreo!

It's definitely too early to tell. I adopted a 4 week old baby girl off of kijiji, the mom was a short haired but Penelope has turned out to be an abbyruvian. When I got her she looked like a normal abyssinian but by the time she reached 12-ish weeks old I could tell that she was going to have some long pieces.

I'm on mobile now but later when I'm at home I'll upload a baby picture or her and a current one so you can see how much they change.

Scarlet, the mother, came from a pet store (my brother bought her and I had no idea, or I would have told him to adopt instead). Do they even have Peruvians, or just Americans and Aby's?

I've seen some Peruvians, but very rarely or they're gone so fast.

Hmm... There's still a chance if they kept a male in the same cage. Breeding only takes a few seconds! Very possible.

New discovery: her rosettes are in just the right places that her fur lays forward, meaning you have to pet her backwards! :D

Here's a few pictures of Penelope just to show how much their fur can change.

Here she is at 7 weeks.

13 weeks old.

5 months old.

And here she is today at 9 months old. (Sorry for the terrible quality, I just took this quick so you could see her fur.)

Her fur now has some spots that are normal Abyssinian length but she has these super long pieces that grow. I have to give
her regular skirt trims every month and I will trim some of her long pieces occasionally.

As you can see their fur can change a LOT when they are young. Your's does look like she has the potential to be an Abbyruvian but you will just have to wait and see!

She's currently 4 weeks old. Hopefully I'll be able to tell a little by Christmas. Thank you soooo much for the pictures!
