When we first adopted Poncho from CL, I said that the previous owner did not know the gender. So the day after, I attempted my best to check, only because he was very uncomfortable at the time. I *thought* I saw a penis, but after re-examining, it ended up being the nipple(s) that I looked at! So this time, my dumb self looked for the anus, and I did not see any projecting like body part coming out. I only have one guinea pig for right now. But, omg, I can't believe I missexed him/her. I'm freaking out. I'm not even sure myself. Was wondering if I could post a picture to show you guys?

Looks more like a girl to me. On boys, you should be able to make the entire penis come out by pushing slightly above where it would be.

Do you have a lighter photo? It's a little hard to tell in that one.

At least you're straightening things out before you get a second pig. I narrowly averted disaster when I got Borat, as the shelter told me he was a girl, so I adopted Amy from CL shortly thereafter. Fortunately, I read a lot of missexing stories here while she was still quarantined and learned he was a boy before they ever got together. Very smart of you to double check.

I tried, or attempted to.. but, nothing? Also we're taking him/her to a vet soon so I'm sure they can also confirm. But I'm just way too anxious right now.

I'm thinking girl, too. Is there any indication of testicles? Granted, they're hard to see on some boys (Borat was like that), but you didn't even need to look for a penis on Mufasa as he was well endowed in the "sack" area even though he was so young.
