this is my first ever post on here!! i've been a longtime lurker but i decided to make an account for this specific question. I've had two females, got them around 4 months ago; Jelly and Doughnut. from the start, jelly was obviously the dominant one and would always peck at doughnut and jump her and chase her. however, i've begun to notice doughnut humping jelly, and not in an aggressive way. they've been humping eachother for about 2 months now, i just want to make sure nothing's wrong?

You have turned them both over to make sure they're they same sex, haven't you?

Does it happen about every two weeks? If so, they're in heat.

If they're older (three or so) you could consider ovarian cysts. If they're younger, that's not likely to be it.

But in the absence of cysts or one of them being male, it's normal.

In addition to the information @bpatters gave you, I just wanted to add that aside from a mating behavior, humping is also a dominance behavior. It can happen between two males, two females and of course a male & female.
