Well, just found out that you can GROW YOUR OWN LETTUCE!

No seeds needed!

After you are done with the head of lettuce, you give the bottom to your pig, right? Not anymore! get a old jug or container and fill it up with water, then dump the end of the head of lettuce into it, and soon you will have new lettuce to feed your piggers! Remember, sunlight is always a good idea!

I have yet to try it myself, but a friend's mom showed me her stock she has started. It's quite spectacular!

I don't know if it varies on how much water you put in.....I didn't ask that question.....But, we can all experiment, and give our answers.

Well, I really don't know. I'd say about a half inch to an inch of water, depending on how big the lettuce end is!!!!

They don't seem to be, but they are growing. If you look at the pic the container in the far back right has visible signs of growth!!! The other ones are doing well too

I should say to change the water everyday and rinse gently the ends themselves too.
