Hi everyone,

My 2 year old (spayed) sow recently lost her partner, and I'm looking for a new pig to keep her company. I've found someone trying to rehome their babies (now about 3 months old, both male and female available). I know opposite sex pairs are the most successful in adult pigs, but does introducing a baby to an adult change the dynamic? I'm a bit concerned about a boar going through puberty in an opposite sex pair; I'm not sure if there would be a greater chance of fighting compared to two females.

Thanks so much!

I'd think it would work just fine. She's likely to be the boss anyway, and she'll be able to keep him in line.
