weigh out/measure your pigs' veggies? I have been just eyeballing (with the exception of their green pepper for vitamin C) and their poops have never been runny or anything. Do any of you think that it's important to know exactly how much they're getting?

I normally don't measure how much I give him. I did once the other day and found out I was over feeding a little bit, so now i have a better idea of how much to give him.
Although I don't think it matters too much if you overfeed a little bit, as long as it's not affecting them negatively.

One of the veterans of this website long ago estimated a cup of veggies is like a large handful, with fingers spread out. I'm not sure if that's true. It's what I go by as well.

I eyeball it and make sure their poops are nice and firm. Easy peasy!

I got it from Petco. It's technically a hidey for ferrets but it works just fine! Sometimes they crawl out the trunk but not too often as it's a bit of a tighter squeeze. There are a whole bunch of fun hideys for ferrets but the holes tend to be a bit too skinny. This one is good though because the, er, butt hole is big! I just soak it in detergent and rinse it when it gets gross.

I don't measure my veggies, I am quite sure I feed more than a cup most days.

Well, that sucks I don't have a Petco anywhere near me! I don't measure my veggies either I just kind of judge. Their poop has been OK so I must be doing something right.

It's totally possible that Petsmart carries them as well if you have one of those near you. Or you could just do an online search for ferret hideys. They get all the fun stuff made for them!

I go by the poops. They're fine, so I'm feeding fine.

Yeah, the only thing I'm a bit more critical on is higher calcium veggies.

It's good to notice things such as poop firmness and calcium deposits. Pigs are all different and may need different diet tweaks, but it's fairly easy to see if something needs changing.

Please don't purchase anything from pet stores! They don't make much money on the animals they treat badly so they make most of their profits from the supplies. Buy products and supplies from stores that don't sell live animals like pet food outlets. Or online retailers or directly from the manufacturer!

You can buy amazing cozies from many different people on here and then you are supporting their non bred piggies and their rescue/foster efforts!

Both Petco and Petsmart are supplied by pet mills. PLEASE take @Onetwo 's advice! :(
