Size A 3x4 or 2x4?

If you have space for 3x4, it's better since it's bigger. Where did you read that width doesn't matter?

Yes, I have space for a 3x4. I'm going to make the 3x4, thanks for helping me decide. And I don't remember....some website.....

Ditto! We have a (2) 2x4's and are planning on re-vamping them for larger.

Width definitely matters, and a 3x4 is half again as large as a 2x4. However, unless it's on the floor or on a table that you can walk all the way around, you'll have trouble cleaning a 3x4. A 2x5 would split the difference spacewise, but be easier to clean.

I agree with BP. I've had my two in a 3x4 C&C cage for the past year. At first I really loved the extra width. I had surgery a few weeks ago and now I'm wishing our cage wasn't 3 grids wide. It's kind of a nuisance to clean since it's in a corner. I'm planning a re-arrangement very soon!
