Thanks! @Starthecavy123

They are only 3 months old.

The women who had them before me pick out a gerbil at a pet shop not knowing it was pregnant... Gerbils have up to 12 pups.

Oh they're so precious! I have a history of gerbils, so a a few pointers;

1. They need their bedding piled high so as they can burrow and create tunnels. I'm talking almost 3/4 of their 'gerbilarium' needs filling. It's neat though, because you can see them going through the tunnels half way down their bedding!
2. They're super agile, and I trained mine to run up my arm and on to the top of my head. Just watch out for jumping because they're lightening fast!
3. They're prone to strokes once they reach 2+, so watch out for that (depending on age). My last gerbil Maxxie died of multiple strokes, but he was a ripe ol' age of four!

Sorry if you already knew all this by the way :p

Unfortunately not, they just become prone to them with age. They have the same symptoms of human strokes, so they're not hard to spot. My Maxie had his first stroke when I was asleep, and I woke up and his right side was completely paralysed, he was ice cold too. All I could do was wrap him up in a fleece blanket, and feed him cucumber periodically for water content. He made a brief recovery for about two hours, managing to sort of hop around, then unfortunately had another stroke and passed away in my hands.

It is also common for a younger gerbil to recover from a first stroke, Maxie was seriously old for a gerbil and it was the second stroke that got him.

@ThePigAlchemist tell me about it! My gerbilarium had a wire top, same as a C&C, and my guys used to climb it and run upside down on it! Damn, this post's got me wanting another pair....watch this space guys.... ;)

I am a little bit nervous because I don't know if my gerbils are drinking there water.

Do you have any suggestions of how I can get them to notice there water bottle?

I have two gerbils too. They live in side-by-side tanks with toppers. They have lots of bedding, cardboard, etc., in their tanks. I put their food bowls, water bottles, and wheels in the topper. I also use small tiles from home stores to put in the toppers to protect their feet from the wire.
