This cage was inspired by @lissie and @Inle_Rabbit . :) I could not go as big as theirs and my hubby wanted an easy project so this is the result.
The cage is 28x60 with 10 inch sides. So the same as a 2x4 c&c which was as big as I could go with my space.
It required just 2 pieces of plywood cut strategically to maximize use. They were cut for free using my diagram at the store so that made it easier too. They cut the plexiglass for free too.
the plexiglass was most expensive component and I did not use the thick stuff that I really wanted.
Total cost=$100

Looks good. Using plexiglass is about all I would change with my cage but I couldn't find anyone to cut it right.

I still need to decorate it and get some of those cool wall clings to put on the wall behind it
Here is the bare frame so you can see how easy it really was.
The sides each have a small rail that the bases sit on and are attached to and the corners are screwed together in the back. We sanded all the edges smooth too. Honestly, it only took about 2 hrs total.

The coro was the hard part! Stupid measurements came out wrong on BOTH levels and my engineer hubby even did it! But that's what duck tape is for!

It looks great! When I built mine, they cut plexiglass for free too. I got the 1/4" thick plexi for $20 from Sabic Polymershapes.

Looks pretty nice, great use of space! My only concern would be if the plexiglass is high enough to keep the piggies in, more-so on the upper level if they get excited. Then again, perhaps I'm just used to my big boys who can look right over the top of my 14 inch edges o_o (that and mine are pretty good jumpers). I guess for smaller piggies 10 inch should be fine.
