@spy9doc......Yes, she is living downstairs with the other girls, she's the smallest one, but she pinches everyone else's food and runs like the clappers with it lol

LOL Good spot! My mom was born and raised in England, her accent is still as strong as ever, and it's true, her kids have picked up some of her expressions, just as she has picked up some American ones .

LOL my mom is very witty, just like her mother before her, she has some really cool expressions. When people point out her accent my dad always says "What accent"? They've been together for so long that he doesn't hear it anymore.

Well, my father's maternal side is all descended from Mohawk Indians. Traced the family back to Joseph Brant, actually. But his father, and my mother's maternal side, are all from that side of the pond. England and Scotland, to be precise.

So I've heard a few of those expressions in my day. Sadly, I haven't heard my nana's voice since 1993.

Oh cool, you have an interesting mixture there.I'm a mutt too, I have English, Irish, Welsh, Italian, and French Canadian in my genealogy. My paternal grandfather and grandmother were Italian. My maternal grandfather was Irish. My maternal great great grandfather was from Prince Edward Island. My mother's maiden name was Smith, which was a common name given to Blacksmiths in England many moons ago.

Sounds like you've got a pretty interesting mix yourself!
