I didn't post this in the medical section, because he's thankfully acting perfectly fine. But I'm a little worried and want to make sure he'll continue to be ok.

I have (had) one of those "edible log" tunnels for Robin Hood, because he likes to lay on top of it and play with it. I know they're not good for them to eat, but he's only ever chewed on it slightly ( really just scraped the coloring off here and there ). Until today: this morning I woke up to a fairly large amount of the log eaten! I don't know why he did this out of the blue.

He's acting completely normal and himself, though. He's been eating hay all morning, ate his morning lettuce and bell pepper, been pooping normal poops and normal amounts, is very active, etc.

I just want to make sure this isn't serious, and I want to know if there's any other problems/signs I should watch for.

Here's how much log is missing:

To say the least it's no longer in the cage, and I think he definitely ate it because I can't find any of the pieces.

Here's a pic of the other end so you can tell how much is missing:

The problem isn't the coloring, it's the sugar. Just take it out and put something else in he can climb on.

I have, and I definitely will. The only thing that was really worrying me is the amount he ate in a short time. He ate everything that's missing (except for the circle in the side ) between last night and this morning. But he is acting completely normal... should I be concerned, or not?

As long as everything is normal, I wouldn't worry. I'm not sure what could be done in any case.

Ok, thank you! I've been watching him for four hours now and everything's still normal. Yay!
