Thanks, they are one of the easier things to make and my pigs love them so I like to have at least 2 in my cage when possible.

Whipped up two where the wild things are tunnels. Also started working on some ramp liners and another winter raccoon patio liner. Here's a pic of the wild thing tunnels. I made them super plush with thick batting since it's winter time:

Traysea, is there a particular pattern or method you follow to make these? I've made piggie beds for both my girls, but not tunnels.

I used this video on youtube:

the volume is low on this video but this is the one I used. I don't always follow the measurements depending on what fabrics I have. For the two in this photo I used a 1/2 a yard of cotton wild things fabric cut in half (use one piece for each tunnel) and 1/2 a yard of grey fleece cut in half (use one piece for each tunnel). Which makes a pretty big tunnel. I cut them bigger because I used 1/2" batting to make it really plush. If you want yours skinnier or longer you can make it whatever size you want. My girls have these in their cage right now and they stay up and they fit comfortably in them.

Did a bunch of sewing yesterday and managed to make 7 new items for my cage. I figured I would update this thread and post my creations.
This week I decided to switch my acrylic tube cat walks to U shaped grid bent catwalks, The tubes were getting too annoying to clean. I think I will save them and try them again for an outside racetrack once we are done with our remodeling project. So I swapped the tubes for the U bent grids and then realized the liners I made for the tubes were too narrow for the catwalks! Luckily I was able to free up some time yesterday and managed to make two pairs of catwalk liners, plus two ramp pads, and a matching no sew bed!

Here's my neatly folded pile of projects (minus a set of cat walk pads already put to use in the cage)

1524738_10202664308266042_1523750571_n.jpg

Here's a set of double sided cat walk pads:

And a set of matching double sided ramp pads:

A double sided no sew bed to match the other set of catwalk pads:

And the new cat walks installed in the cage with the new pads. Sadly, I didn't have enough tree fleece to make the trees face the right direction, something that really irks me!

How did you sew the cat walk pads and ramp pads like that? With the quilted look? I don't even see any thread lines, it all looks seamless. Yoda teach me your ways.

LOL it took me a minute to figure out what you are talking about. That's the pattern on the fleece, it's not quilted at all. But you could quilt your fleece if you really wanted to! I bought it on etsy a while back.

What to do when you are addicted to sewing fleece but have so many fleece accessories for your cage that you really don't need anymore? Start making some for your cousin's new piggies! When my cousin told me she was getting two piggies for my niece of course I volunteered to do some sewing for her.
So far I have made two tunnels and two waterproof lap pads. All coordinating and all reversible. I have two full cage pads in the works and some other fun projects. Now she just informed me she is making a patio so I suppose I will need to add some patio and ramp liners to the list!

Joanns . I have seen the unicorns on their website too. The stripes was from a no sew throw kit I got 50% off in the store, the coordinating fleece is multicolored stars. The blue chevron I got 60% off at the store. I think it might be this one. Not sure if it was blizzard or anti pill what I got at the store: (broken link removed)

My nieces pile is growing! And so is her cage!! My cousin informed me last week that she added a patio so in addition to the other items I am now adding some patio and ramp liners to her package.

here's what I've made so far:

2x4 invertible and stuffable 2 layer of uhaul reversible cage liner:
1616441_10202780086320421_1831027628_n.jpg

The tunnels, waterproof lap pads, a reversible ramp liner and blue chevron 1 layer uhaul patio liner:

I still need to make one more cage pad, patio liner, ramp liner and whatever scraps I have left will make some bottle drip and potty pads.

Your niece is so lucky! I wish someone would sew me cage liners too.
I love that unicorn pattern.

Amanda are you shopping online or locally?
For online shopping check out yourfleece.com in addition to hancock and joanns. They always have great patterns. Joanns has some really cool florescent patterns on sale 50% off this week too. Might have to get me some of them!

For my waterproof pads I use these flannel waterproof pad 2 packs I get from Babies R Us. They cut and sew like a dream. They are super flat and feel like one layer of fabric but they are really 3 layers (2 flannel with waterproof in-between) They are great for under your fleece pads to keep your coroplast clean. They are awesome for lap pads and also for smaller pads when you need waterproof. Flannel is an absorbent material (and made to protect your crib mattress from baby pee!) I wouldn't use them in replace of uhaul pads but they work great as a second layer or under layer. Uhaul works better than these for full cage everyday use, these are for quick change back up pads. You can use them as potty pads and under water bottles though.

They are buy one get one 1/2 off right now, usually I get like 4 packs when they are on sale.

My waterproof pads are two layers of fleece with one layer of waterproof flannel pad inside.
