Does anybody know how much a 8ft. × 5ft. piece of fleece would cost at Joann's fabrics?

When you buy fleece you get it by the yard, fleece comes 56-62 inches wide, so you would need extra wide fleece fabric, which limits your options, unless you want to get twice as much and see a center seam. You would need 2 yards and 2 feet, so $20-35 depending on the fleece you choose, or If you're ok with sewing a seam down the middle you can get 2 5' sections of normal size fleece, but the price would be much higher

If your going to Joanns make sure to look for coupons. They usually have a coupon available for 40% a single cut/piece of fabric. You can only use it once. Also, if you have a Walmart in your area check there. Our's now has a small fabric section and some of the fleece is the same that you will find at joanns for a lot less. I just got some for $3.99/yd. Good luck and happy shopping.

Ok, well if it's by the yard, then do any of you know how much it would cost to get 3 yards + whatever the width is: 56/62in. Or does anybody know how much it is per yard [at Joann's]? Solid colors are most likely cheaper than printed, right? How much is it per yard for just a regular color? Sorry, I would find all of this out myself if i could, but their website won't load for me.

Did you even click on that link I gave you? It's got all sorts of fleece with the cost per yard. You can order it online or go to the store and buy it.

I said it wouldn't load for me. Maybe if you were a little nicer, people would like you better.

Joanns fleece usually runs about 7.99-12/13.99 the licensed prints costing more. not much in the 7.99 range mostly 9.99 at least the last time I was there. Were you planning on going to the store or ordering on line?

It loads just fine for me. What happens when you click on it?

And I'm not running a popularity contest.

What happens is it doesn't load, as i said twice before. Look, I'm not “running a popularity contest” either. I'm just asking for you to think before you send. You're words hurt people more than you think. I've noticed how people respond to you, and it's clear that they don't appreciate your comments.

I was planning on going to the store. Tomorrow I'm finally getting my guinea pigs a c&c cage, so I'm trying to help my parents out by figuring out the best place to get fleece, based on the prices.

Speak for just yourself please as I ALWAYS appreciate @bpatters comments. Here's your info:

You can see the current sale prices and the original prices. Looks like there's a nice sale going on. No idea for how long.

I've bought quite a bit of fleece off fabric.com. I also do rag quilts and buy a lot of flannel from them too. Sometimes they are cheaper, sometimes not, especially with Joann's coupons coming into play. I do feel like they have a better selection however and they ship really fast. 3 yards usually runs me $21 to $30 on there. Printed and solids are similarly price.

Weird that Joann's won't load for you though. Hopefully fabric.com will. :)
