So,
I am just curious as to what this could be? I've noticed it a few times here and there.
Before I start - I already know about the plug. That isn't my concern, it's the very white small bits on the plug and in random spots on her privates in the photo I'll be adding that is my concern.
So, I heard her squeak twice when she went to the bathroom (if she was pottying - i assume so as she was in her pan) and I picked her up and saw this which could of already been there. I don't see blood in her urine which is a normal orangy liquid color for a young pig.
I don't see any signs of sludge any where in her pan where she typically goes. Rarely does she go outside it and when she does, it's typical color, liquidy. No sludge look.
I don't feed too high in calcium vegetables. She gets green leaf, cucumber, etc
She's currently on a fungal medication for her skin and an antibiotic SMZ-TMP (Bactrim) for her URI. She has a check-up in 5 days with the vet. Can't get her in sooner either.
She's on fleece bedding which gets changed every 2 days depending if she's urinated. I have placement fleece, so usually I'll just pick up the soiled placement and put a clean one down without changing the whole bunch. But thorough change 1x a week, maybe 2.
So, I am wondering if this is normal for young pigs? If it is calcium, what do I do to help her or does she out grow this?
She has access to hay 24/7 and certain amount of pellets a day. She drinks plenty of water, no issues there. She gets her daily veggies 1x a day.
Other than this she is a very happy pig. Popcorns, chatters, eats, drinks, etc
Thanks in advance
