Adopting Today!

Well, it's official! My little buddy Sprout will be coming home with me on July 29th when I'm back from vacation.


Thanks to everyone for the advice and kind words! Now I'm debating, do I keep the name Sprout or go with Spooky (a name I've always wanted to give a pet) or Casper (the name my brother suggested)?

Congrats on the new piggie! I myself for some reason find red eyes adorable (my piggie has red eyes to). I can tell that Casper or Sprout or whatever you decide his name will be will love the new home.

Why not call him Spooky Casper? That way you can call him either one when you want. I've had a few with first and middle names. One of mine is Princess Wolfbane and others were Goody Goody Gumdrop, Oreo Blizzard, Oreo Doublestuff. I'd call each of them by shortened versions of their names.

Congratulations, it must be so hard to wait and he is really adorable! And I love the name Spooky (we had a longhaired tortoiseshell cat named Spooks when I was a kid).

@Rywen Thanks! It is awfully hard to wait but I know it's for the best. He'd just be getting home and settling in and then I'd be leaving for a week. I thought about it, and as tempting as it is to bring him home early, I figured that wasn't fair to him. Spooks is an adorable name for a cat! I love the tortoiseshell coloring, so pretty.

She said earlier that they will work on upgrading his cage and finding him a buddy.

Congrats on adopting a new pig! I love him, his fur is so silky! It looks like soft little angel feathers. I would have totally taken him if I was near there, but you beat me to it!
