Guinea pigs don't really do this. Usually it's just that when you are at the vet you are handling the pig more than usual so more hair is coming off.
Yes, pigs mourn, or at least they miss the companionship of another pig. It's usually best to find another companion right away. However, since you are worried that yours is sick, you will have to find out for sure before adding another guinea pig. I recommend a vet visit. Or, you can weigh her daily for awhile to make sure she's eating and drinking normally, and not losing any weight.
