Does anyone have a recommendation or idea of a play area/pen that i can use to bring my piggies outside to play in the yard?

A box of grids loosely joined in a chain by zip-ties (leave the ends open). You can put it where you want it, arrange it as needed, and get a couple of clips at the hardware store to hold the ends together.

Then go to a pet store or look on Amazon and find either the grids or a play pen. They're all over the place.

The grids can be found as shelving in a lot of stores. If you have one of those pet store cages (hopefully only used for travel), you can also take the top off and use it as a smaller pen. Not as good for playing, but my pigs still enjoy it and I'm less worried about hawks (though of course I wouldn't ever leave them unattended). Remember to make sure all the plants in the area are safe and pesticide-free, and to supply your pigs with water, especially if it's hot! Good luck!

I was looking around the thread "cages" today and there is a sticky at the top about how you can make your own cage, there are links to different places that sell the grids cheap. The cheapest I see is Bed Bath & Beyond for $19. I think you can pay online and pick it up at the store. The best part about doing the search is finding out that they opened one not that far from my job and I had no clue. Go figure. That's where I'll be getting them. I think said that there are 17 squares to the box. I'm going to make a 2x4 with a loft for my babies with that and coroplast from Home Depot!!! Can't wait!!!! Hope that helps.

And mine was 9 inches high! Yeah, um so make sure you piggy is not a climber or big explorer if you get a low walled pen.
