Hi everyone! Last week I adopted my baby nugget, Basil. She's an Abyssinian at about 7 weeks old. When I got her, I was told she was the runt of the litter- and she was so tiny when I got her! I was a little concerned but I've been giving her lots of TLC and cuddles along with new types of veggies (thanks to the charts and sample menus on here!) and piles of hay, and within a week, I'm already starting to slowly see a little bit of growth!
I know piggies do better in pairs, and I'm working on adopting again soon! (Preferably after my LSAT) but for now I give Basil plenty of floor time and put her in her piggy pen during the day while I study next to her. She's so hyper and never stops exploring!
Anyway, I'm excited to interact on this forum and meet a positive, supportive group of individuals who love cavies
Without further ado, meet Basil!
