After a couple months try a buddy bath again, a good 4-6 hours in a huge neutral area and remember a little bickering is normal. They have to work out pecking order. Unless blood/major blood is drawn, leave them be to work it out. Give them lots of piles of food and hay in the intro area.

Thanks, I am thinking about trying it again later as you suggested. When Randy is bigger! (he's about 4-5 months old now) I mentally prepared myself for our first shot at intros and was braced for some scuffling. They were in the bathroom for 4 hours before we put them in the cage. But over the few weeks they were together, Randy got a lot of bites on the butt and a LOT of hair pulled out by Snickers. I know that's not a dealbreaker. After a week, I tried a buddy bath and it seemed to help. But last week, we come home one day and Randy has a big red raw bite just below his nose and another bad one on his butt. He has probably a dozen scabbed over bites on his butt.

I did build the upper level in a way that I can make it all one big cage later on if they all get along (there is a hidden hole on the far right end of the upper level where I could add a second ramp).

Yeah maybe being a baby he was bugging her too much. With my six, 2 neutered males and four sows, it was the young female that got nipped a lot, mainly by her mom, whom she was adopted with. Wait until he is full grow because he will be hard to deal with soon with his terrible teens coming.

I have never had problemy with babies.
Well once, because one of the adults was afraid of her, but she was weird...

What exactly happend that made you stop the introduction? Especially when introducing boars it often got rough, because the leading sow felt threatend. Most introductions the pig with the least rank will chase around the new ones a little and the others don´t do much. With boars it always were they highest ranking sows that fought out who is boss now.
Unless no pig has bloody wounds or is completly frightended I would just let them do. I would maybe block the second level, because they can´t really flee there when another cavy comes after them.

And I have never ever done a buddy bath and I did a lot of introductions.
I think all you do is stress both parties. Which surely can be helpful.
Smell isn´t that important with guinea pigs.

Here is my current set up. Unfortunately, I have not gotten the top for it (I plan to make one out of plywood), so they have to go back into their horrible pet store cages at night and when we are not home for safety reasons (keeps kitties and dogs from getting to them). I do try to keep them in here as much as I can though.

Love the fleece!! So pretty! I LOVE blue but could not find any for cheap here.

The Walmart here in Pueblo has some plain blue fleece for $1.97/sqyd. They also have others for $10 or less per square foot.

I finally finished hand sewing my new cage liner and decided to redo my cage a bit. I cut the kitchen down quite a bit as I found it was taking up precious zoomy space. I only wanted a small tray to catch all the hay that they pull out of their hay rack. Digby and Nibbler immediately did some zoomies and popcorned around when I finished. I think they like the redesign!

Just put their cage up on the desk today and they seem happy
The idea is that the eve (foldy part) is actually the desktop, so I can do my homework by them

We just got finished building a second floor to our cage, giving Norton and Edward some extra space to run and cuddle!:D (Forgot to add the interior before taking the pic though)20151111_162023.jpg

I currently have two Boars in a 2x5 to 3x6 C&C, there are many add ons I will be working on as time allows! We currently have: two water bottles, one pellet bowl, hay bale, a fleece overhang, throw toys + bell ball cat toy, fleece bed, two pigloos, and two tunnels. (Featuring Copper and Coco) :)

Here is today's cage set up! I've finally finished two complete sets of cage liners, including a small one for the ramp. This set is a leopard pattern, which I initially wasn't crazy about - but holy cow, it does a great job disguising the poops!

Also trying out a small kitchen insert with Yesterday's News (made of cardboard for now, will do with coroplast if it works out):

It does, doesn't it. I looks very nice. I am not sure if you have seen it but Walmart also has a pink leopard print too, for their $2.88 small throws.
