Hello there,
My youngest pig Minnie made a very strange sound earlier. At first I would describe it as a monkey sound but after some research I understand it's called hooting.
She did this for about 30 seconds until I got worried and reached in to pick her up. She got scared and as she ran away she coughed...I suppose clearing her throat..and it stopped.
She has no other symptoms and was seen for her 6 month check up in July where they listened to her heart and lungs and got a clean bill of health.
Should I be worried? Also both the vets at my exotic vet are away this week at a conference...so if this is something she needs to be seen for is it safe to wait a week? Thank you!
