Pregnancy new piggy owner, could my new piggy be pregnant?

Go to the forum you want to post the thread in and nearish to the top there should be a long pink button that says "new thread"

Also, like what everyones said, it's very possible she could be pregnant, but it's also possible she's just fat. The teats do normally stick out, but if she's pregnant they do swell up a bit more. If she was previously pregnant they might just be a bit bigger from that. The best advice I have is just to wait and see and watch for any dramatic changes. Hope it all works out

I don't know if she drinks a lot or not...i don't have anything to compare her to. She is my first and only piggie right now. i had planned to get her friend, but i have decided to wait and see if she has babies first.

princess has gained 28 grams in 3 days...i still don't feel any movement, but the lumps on her sides are much bigger and firmer.

Also, i don't think i've mentioned on this thread that princess is 2 years old, but I was told she has had 2 previous litters (by accident).

i'm trying to contact the previous owner to find out how old the prospective father was before she separated them (she said he was a baby). that might help clear some of this up, so hopefully she gets back to me soon.

i found this really neat diagram on guinea pig fetus growth stages. it shows you what the babies should feel like in the different stages of pregnancy. i don't hold my piggie like is shown it the picture though...she doesn't like to be held on her back. i estimate that princess is somewhere in between the 3rd and 4th stage. which would mean she was about 2-3 weeks pregnant when i got her.
