Random question for the homeschoolers, do yall ever get asked questions about homeschool that aren't meant to be rude, but they are? For instance, I went to the grocery store with my mom a while back and the cashier asked me about school. When I told her I was homeschooled she said, "Oh, I bet you don't have to do anything then, do you?"

All the time in 8th I did. I got these weird looks like "...a twelve year old ditched school.." Because I normally go out and get groceries for my mom [emoji14]

The stares you get when you go out in public on a weekday are funny, cause you know people think you ditched. Thankfully, I don't get them anymore, though.

I always found them funny, but my brother hates it. So glad I'm about to graduate!

Are you homeschooled @aniamalmadlover

I did correspondense school this year. I'm not sure if thats the same thing. My teachers for Art, biology and english would talk to me on the phone and email me. I had to send them my finished work in the mail and they marked it and sent it back! Overall I enjoyed it.

Nope, but I didn't go out very often. I do often get asked if it was harder then face to face school. For some reason many people think that it is a lot harder, it is if you aren't self motivated, or organised. But thankfully I was both of those things. And its easier then facing the boring girly gossip, or being told that I'm antisocial because I'm quiet. Or being teased and bullied.

So overall, homeschool has given me a lot more freedom. Does anybody else sit by the guinea pig cage while doing work? Teaching is the best way to learn. So I might sit beside the guinea pigs and give them a biology lesson lol Lol!

Most people just assumed that homeschool's so much easier, or that I don't really do anything. Not true! And that's true that it takes more self-motivation and organization than public school. Sometimes I sit in the guinea pigs floor time room and do my work, but Reese is nosey and tries to eat my school work.

I do! I also have one of my dogs and my kitten with me during English because my dog actually likes me reading to her (unless it's boring and then she licks me and walks away lol) and I always move my hands during math and my kitten likes that. And I always have a piggie on my lap. Usally my shy girl Emmy

I've heard of people doing that, but couldn't imagine graduating that young. @joys_cavies
